Here you will find all the basic information needed for performing with the Grace Wind Ensemble. We are glad you are interested in our ensemble! Please find all the necessary information for our current session below and remember to follow the registration link at the bottom.
- Grace College Wind Ensemble is made up of college students, community members and professional musicians. We ask that all members’ skill levels be on par with the Indiana State School Music Association Group I solo literature.
- Grace Wind Ensemble often performs grade 5 and 6 music. With that in mind, new members are asked to submit a video audition demonstrating lyrical and technicial skill levels.
- Please prepare the following for auditions. The music can be found via the link at the bottom of this page.
- Woodwinds|Trumpets|Horns|Trombone – Machu Picchu (beginning to A)
- Euphonium/Tuba – Machu Picchu (I to J)
SCHEDULE
Grace Wind Ensemble rehearses on Tuesday evenings from September 10, 2024 through November 24, 2024. Our rehearsals take place at _______________________ from 6:30p-8:30p.
Attendance
To achieve a high level of music performance, it is critically important that members attend rehearsals. Please be sure to mark all rehearsals on your personal calendars.
GRACE COLLEGE STUDENTS – Please plan your study schedule and any work schedule around Tuesday night rehearsals, dress rehearsal and performance. Grace College students must attend dress rehearsal and 10 out of 11 regular rehearsals and dress rehearsal to perform. It is recommended to save this absence for things like spring break or potential illness. Should the situation arise, please see the director with any extenuating circumstances. These are quite rare. An ‘after performance dinner’ will be provided for Grace students will perfect attendance.
COMMUNITY MEMBERS – Please plan your personal schedule around our Tuesday night rehearsals, dress rehearsal and performance. Please let me know of any work travel (orthopedic folks) you might have during our fall/spring season. To be eligible for the honorarium, community members must have 2 or fewer absences.
